Road Improvement Project at Magnolia Cemetery

The focus of this project is to improve the roads throughout Magnolia Cemetery. Our best estimate in repairing/resurfacing roads throughout the cemetery is $465,883 (Falcon Contracting).  Phase I is being scheduled to begin in mid-January 2025.

The project will be broken into two or three phases as money is raised. We would like to complete the first phase by February 1, 2025.  That portion is $200,000 and would patch and level the roads inside Magnolia and get them ready for asphalt overlay.

Magnolia Cemetery owner, Jay Crane has recently been able to secure authorization from state regulators to use $100,000 from the cemetery's perpetual care fund to use exclusively for road repairs/resurfacing.  This in combination with what we have raised so far will patch all of the roads and will level about 25% of the roads in the cemetery.  If we can get to at least $200,000 (perpetual care fund + donations) before work begins in January, we can level all the roads and save money by completing the road project in two rather than three phases.

The next phase of road work would install the asphalt overlay at a cost of $266,000.

If you want to be reminded how much this is needed, please look at the drone footage below.
